Home Cider Making Workshop Session 1
Time & Location
About the Event
Join the cider revolution and learn how to make your own craft cider at home. In this 3-part class, you'll learn hands-on cider production from start to finish. Class will be by Zoom at 1 PM on three Sundays: February 28, March 7th; and June 6th. You'll also be invited to have your cider judged/reviewed at the Slyboro Spring Open on Saturday, June 12th. The entry fee for this competition/celebration is waived for students in this class. Or just come enjoy!
You have two phenomenal instructors for this course: Dan Wilson, of Slyboro Ciderhouse, and Reed Antis, of Saratoga Zymurgist, upstate New York's full service home-brewing and winemaking shop . Dan is a maker of numerous award-winning craft ciders and Reed is an expert in the field of home fermentation.
Course fee is $100 and does not include cider-making equipment (roughly $50) and the fresh-pressed cider you'll need for your fermentation. Dan is doing a custom pressing of apples specifically for this class for $10/gallon. We will email you the supply list and take your cider after you register for the course. Equipment may be purchased at Slyboro or Saratoga Zymurgist. Any questions, please call us at 518.642.1788 or reach out to Reed at Saratoga Zymurgist, 518.580.9785.
